Essie Resort Collection 2011

L-R: Your Hut or Mine, Lion Around, Fair Game, Da Bush

Essie's 2011 Resort nail polish collection was inspired by the untamed beauty of the world's most remote destinations. We're excited by these earthy and sultry colors. "Don't play it safe with color," says Essie founder Essie Weingarten, "This season, go for color that's as free-spirited and bold as you are!" Essie polishes are long-lasting & do not contain toluene, formaldehyde or DBP so your nails get a break too.

The Essie Resort Collection for this year was safari themed.  There were four colors to complete this collection and they are described below.

-Your Hut or Mine?: Glittering Golden Poppy
-Lion Around: Imperial Peach
-Fair Game: Tahitian Platinum Pearl
-Da Bush: Sun-drenched Khaki Green

I have three of the four to show you.

Starting with Lion Around.  It's a very pretty pale peachy pink with some shimmer.  As you can see it almost matches my skin...so very neutral with a little shine.

Next is, Fair Game.  This a super cool color for the summer.  It's a bluish, sliver-y black pearl-esque color.  This also has a shimmer finish to complete the "pearl" look.

Last, is Da Bush.  Silly name, but great color.  This is a grey-ish sage green color with a creme finish.  This is slightly darker than Absolutely Shore from the Essie Braziliant Collection, and lighter than Sew Psyched from the Fall 2010 Collection.

These were available at most salons, major retailers, like Target and Walmart, beauty supply stores and drugstores for $8.00.  If you are still interested in these colors, they are available for around $4.00 at www.amazon.com.

Until next time...
