Essie Summer 2011 - Braziliant Collection

L-R: Absolutely Shore, Smooth Sailing, Super Bossa Nova, Meet me at Sunset, Braziliant, Too Too Hot

So, this certainly has been the summer for bright colors.  How wonderful?!?!?!

I really gravitated towards Smooth Sailing...it's such a nice sparkly blue.  Then, my friend Tara surprised me with Absolutely Shore...love her!  I could've kissed her when I saw it.  Recently, I saw a mini two pack of Braziliant/Super Bossa Nova.  So, I figured I'd give them a try, too. (-twisting of arm here-)
I didn't get Meet me at Sunset or Too Too Hot...they look too similar to one another.

Starting with Super Bossa Nova.  It is a gorgeous deep hot pink with magenta/purple shimmer.  The shimmer is definitely more obvious in person and in the bottle than in the pictures.  This was 2 coats and easy to apply.

Super Bossa Nova

Next, Braziliant.  This is a coral-y bright orange with pinkish shimmer.  With Braziliant, as with Super Bossa Nova, the shimmer is much more pronouced in person than the picture.  This was also two coats and super easy to apply.

Braziliant

Braziliant-here the shimmer is noticable in the bottle
Third, Absolutely Shore...probably my favorite.  Such a pretty pale greyed out minty green.  Love this one from this collection.  This was 3 coats.  A little difficult to apply, since it goes on streaky with the first and second coat.  By the third coat, it's nice and even...and beautiful.  Currently, what is on my toes.

Lastly, Smooth Sailing.  This a a very pretty slightly darker periwinkle blue with silver glittery flakies in it.  It is really pretty in person.  This one is two coats and applied super smooth.  It is so well pigmented that you could probably use one thick coat.

Retail for $8.00 or less at most salons, drugstores and major retailers, like Target and Walmart.

Until next time....
