OPI Touring America Collection Fall 2011

Top Row: L-R: Are We There Yet?, I Eat Mainely Lobster, My Address is "Hollywood", Color to Diner For, Honk if You Love OPI, Road House Blues.
Bottom Row: L-R: Suzi Takes the Wheel, French Quarter for Your Thoughts, Uh, Oh Roll Down the Window, A-taupe the Space Needle, Get in the Expresso Lane, I Brake for Manicures

So, this is the Fall 2011 Collection from OPI.  The collection is pretty large with 12 colors.  It seems like there is a lot of "similar" colors in the collection.  I wasn't too thrilled with most of them.  The corals seem very summer-y, although pretty.  Then there are two shades of gray, since that seems to be the "neutral" color now.  Some of the other colors also seem familiar from other fall collecitons.  Off the top of my head, I Brake for Manicures seems very similar to NARS Koh Lanta.  Get in the Expresso Lane is a deep dark brown that nice alternative to pricier Rescue Beauty Lounge's Fortissimo, NARS Mato Grosso or Dior's Ebony from their Mitzah Collection.

Here are three that seemed interesting to me.

Starting with Uh, Oh Roll Down the Window.  Since olive greens are big for the fall, this is OPI's version.  It is a dark grayed out olive green creme.  It is definitely an interesting color with a very interesting name.

Next up, A-Taupe the Space Needle.  This one is a warm medium taupe-y brown creme.  Also, a unique and interesting color.  I've been seeing a lot of different shades of browns in the past couple of years and this one is a nice addition.

Lastly, My Address is "Hollywood".  This one is a warm pink-y salmon color with a nice shimmer.  I normally don't really like colors like this, but I completely fell in love with a color called Yes, Your Lioness from the Sephora by OPI Safari Luxe collection from summer 2011.  It only came in a mini-size set, that included three other colors.  Ever since then I've been looking for it's replacement.  This is not exact, since My Address is "Hollywood" has pink undertones and Yes, Your Lioness was more coral-orange, but the shimmer is right on.

These are still available at most salons and retailers that carry OPI.  Prices may vary depending on where you get them.

Until next time...
