Happy Sunday, everybody. It's Grilled Banana French Toast day at my house...what are you all upto?
Today I have Orly Rock Solid, I wore this over the weekend and got tons of compliments. My favorite compliment happened on Friday. I was in line at Loft and a mother / daughter team was having a hard time with a particular bracelet that they were interested in. Since, they're hands were full and mine were free at that moment, I turned around and asked if they needed any help and was able to dis-entangle a multi-chain bracelet. They were both so appreciative and thanked me for the assistance. As I went back to completing my transaction and I overheard the mother telling her daughter, "did you see the great polish she's wearing"....aaaaahhhhh, made my day. I know, I know...it's the little things!
Orly Rock Solid is a sort of asphalt/charcoal gray with tons of silver micro-glitter and an impressive amount of holographic glitter dispersed throughout. The holographic glitter is what makes this one a WINNER!!! The holographic glitter picks up even the tiniest amount of light and makes its presence known. It looked beyond words beautiful out at dinner on Friday night. Since, restaurants usually have lower than usual lighting, it was A-mazing. Then, of course, you can NOT take your eyes off of it in sunlight...it is blinding. The pictures do not do this polish any justice. I wish the camera picked up the holographic gorgeousness. Is anyone planning on adding this one to their collection?
Until next time...
How do you think this compares to channel's graphite or l'oreal's carbonate? There are so many of the sparkly dark grey colors this season and I can't tell a difference.
ReplyDeleteLaura, Orly Rock Solid is a slightly deeper and darker grey than Chanel's Graphite and Revlon Carbonite. Rock Solid also has holographic glitter mixed within the regular glitter that makes it slightly different than both, Graphite and Carbonite.
