I've got
Disco Biscut from the
butter LONDON Spring/Summer 2012 Collection as my pick for Pink Wednesday...AND of course, the rest of the colors!!!! I have pictures of all of them below with comparisons...
Starting with the pick color,
butter LONDON Disco Biscut. Disco Biscut is described as "a tropical pink an undercurrent of tiny iridescent glitter particles". To me, it's a hot pink jelly polish with almost light purple small iridescent glitter.

I picked two colors from my stash that were the closest in color, but obviously lacking the beautiful glitter. First up is
Essie Super Bossa Nova from their Summer 2011 collection.

The second color comparison is with
Dior Pink Graffiti...which has been reviewed
here.

butter LONDON Knackered is described as "a sheer, twinkling oyster shade flecked with micro glitter particles".
Knackered is a grayish pale lavender/aqua green duochorme with micro holographic glitter throughout. It is also a little on the sheer side, so I used three thick coats here. I don't have any comparisons to this one...it's the only color of it's kind that I have...warning...lots of pics below.

Onto the cremes of the collection, starting with
butter LONDON Slapper.
Slapper is described as "a truly teal lacquer, bold and bright" and that is right on. It's a very vivid and peppy medium teal creme.

Here is
Slapper against
butter LONDON Artful Dodger.
Artful Dodger seems a lot more muted in comparison and obviously is more blue.

And here is
Slapper next to
Estée Lauder Teal Topaz, which was also just released for their Spring 2012 collection. For a full look at Teal Topaz, you can take a peek
here.

Next up,
butter LONDON Trout Pout...described as "an opaque shade of cantaloupe, pale and retro". This description is also perfect...it is also a nice vibrant color as well. I may not like actual cantaloupe, but I love me some
Trout Pout. It just screams summertime to me.

The only other color that I thought would be anywhere near this is
Essie Tart Deco, from The Art of Spring Collection from Spring 2010. As you can see,
Tart Deco, although bright is definitely paler in comparison.

Lastly, my favorite,
butter LONDON Bossy Boots, described as a "light, opaque pistachio green". It's a very very very pale spring or pistachio green creme. Two coats here.

The two colors for comparison that I picked are both from
Essie...
Essie Absolutely Shore from Summer 2011 and
Essie Da Bush from Essie Resort 2011. Although, all three are pale creams, each is VERY different from the others.
Bossy Boots is a brighter compared to
Da Bush and slightly greener compared to
Absolutely Shore.
Essie Da Bush is very dusty and "sage-y" (my own made-up word) and
Absolutely Shore looks very much like a pastel.

Well, there you have it...the butter LONDON Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Which ones look interesting to you?
Have a great Wednesday!
Until next time....
Thanks for the comparison -- wasn't sure I could justify getting Bossy Boots when I already have both Essies. I'm obsessed with those weird greens. Good post!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really appreciate it. I know...I adore pretty much all greens. I love Bossy Boots!
