I've got Deborah Lippmann Don't Tell Mama today for you.  Don't Tell Mama is a black jelly base with a deep teal shimmer.  The teal shimmer is more obvious in the bottle than on the nail At certain times, it appears almost black.  Only in direct sunlight is the teal shimmer very apparent.  Two coats gives full coverage.

Happy Friday everybody!  The weekend is almost here!!!  Any exciting weekend plans out there?

Today's happy color is Lavender Cloud, from the new limited edition Laura Mercier Belle Nouveau Collection.  

Laura Mercier Lavender Cloud is a pale pastel lavender creme.  It was as ease to apply and only needed two coats to even out and provide good coverage.  To me, it could even be worn as a "neutral" shade, if you so desired.

Very Lady-like...just like the Duchess of Cambridge.  Yes, it was exactly a year ago, on the last Friday of April that Prince William and Kate Middleton were married!  I can totally see the new Duchess of Cambridge sporting a color like this.   Happy (almost) First Anniversary to the Royal couple.

Priti NYC "Turkish Sorbet" Spring 2012 Collection for Refinery 29

I've got a really cute little set from Priti NYC that is begin offered at refinery29 website now.  The set is made of four really pretty summer-y colors.  The Turkish Delight Collection was inspired by Turkey and it's "bright, colorful markets" and "rich, sweet desserts".  If you are not familiar with Priti NYC, it is an eco-friendly nail polish line that now offers nail polishes, nail polish remover and recycled glass files.  Here's a look at each of the colors offered in the Turkish Sorbet Spring 2012 Collection.

Priti NYC Red Maple is a bright, almost pinkish coral creme.  It's a really super fun super summery color.  I used three coats here.

Zoya Summer 2012 Beach Collection - Arizona, Tracie and Wednesday nail polishes

Let's take a look at three of the colors from the Zoya 2012 Beach Collection.  Zoya has two coordinating collections for the summer...aptly named Beach and Surf.  The Beach Collection is made of six creme/slight shimmer colors.  The Surf Collection is composed of six shimmer/glitter colors.  The three colors that I have for you today are Arizona, Tracie and Wednesday and they are all from The Beach Collection.

Zoya Arizona is an medium orange creme.  It is a slightly muted orange and not so bright and neon-like.  So, it's a little bit more versatile orange that can be worn by anybody.  I used three coats here.

Zoya Tracie is a beautiful light avocado color with a subtle silver micro-shimmer that gives an almost frosty apprearace.  I really adore this color...but, then again, I'm a sucker for any green colored polish.  Here is two coats.

Zoya Wednesday is a muted medium turquoise creme.  This one was also very easy to apply and was opaque with just two coats.

Here is a cute little nail polish collection from Kate Spade.  They are all super cute colors and come in these adorable little square bottles.  I'm totally loving on these colors and formula was excellent.  They all went on super smooth and I couldn't decide what to wear first.  So, here we go...take a look at each one of these beauties.

Kate Spade Watermelon Fingers is a gorgeous bright medium pink creme.  This one was slightly sheer and needed three coats for full coverage.

Kate Spade Seafoam Swirls is a very beautiful medium turquoise creme.  This lovely was complete in two coats.  I absolutely adore Seafoam Swirls.

Kate Spade Orange Solar is a pretty vibrant coral-y orange creme.  Orange Solar was also opaque with two coats.

I have a great collection for you today, Rescue Beauty Lounge "The Fan Collection".  This collection was created by the fans and for the fans of RBL.  These are the dream colors of four nail polish lovers, come to life.  We have seen tons of pinks, oranges and corals for a lot of the Spring collections from various brands, but no one seems to have the colors from The Fan Collection.  So, if you need a change from all the sweet colors and need or want bold, bright and unique colors...then these four polishes will fit the bill.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Halcyon is a beautiful light sage green with a warm pink micro-glitter.  It is a very unique combination.  I used two coats here.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily is a nice bright caribbean blue with a twist.  The bright turquoise color has a beautiful hot pink iridescence to it.  This one gave excellent coverage with two coats, as well.  The issue I had with this one removal.  For such a beautiful color, it did stain upon removal.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Cuprum is a vibrant medium blue frost with tiny copper flecks.  Cuprum was also very easy to apply.  Here is two coats.

Lastly, we have Rescue Beauty Lounge IKB: 2012 is an electric blue purple jelly.  A really pretty color in person.  Since, it is a jelly, I ended up using three coats of this one.

I've got a nice bright color for this dreary rainy day in New York today.  Dior Lucky is also a part the Dior Color Block Collection for Summer 2012.  Dior Lucky is a nice bright reddish, pinky coral creme.  It combines all three colors beautifully for a nice interesting color.  It gave really good coverage with two coats.

Cult Nails Divas & Drama Collection

Here is the newest collection from Cult Nails...The Divas & Drama Collection.  The collection consists of four beautiful spring/summer colors that will work for most everybody.  There is a sheer, a jelly, a shimmer and a flakie thrown in for good measure.

First up, Cult Nails Enticing is a pale shimmery sheer baby pink.  It is a very sheer color and I used three coats here.  It could be used for a very interesting french manicure with just one or two thinner coats.

Cult Nails Scandalous is a light muted apricot jelly.  It's a really beautiful color to start with for the spring and will take you into summer.  Since, it is a jelly, it was slightly sheer with two coats and I used three coats here.

Cult Nails Manipulative is a gorgeous pale aqua blue with tons of silver shimmer.  It's a wonderful twist on this color.  Manipulative is creamy and super easy to apply.  I used two coats here.

Cult Nails Seduction is a sheer purple base with red and blue flakies.  Seduction is very similar to Clairvoyant from The Super Powers Collection.  Clairvoyant was the same base color but had multi-colored flakies, where as Seduction only has red and blue.  The end result is very similar, as well.  Once Seduction is on the nail over a dark color, the result is the same.  The flakies give of the rainbow color effect, even though the actual colors are only red and blue.  I used one coat of Cult Nails Seduction over Estée Lauder Blue Dahlia.

butter LONDON Lillibet's Jubilee Nail Polish

Here's a brand new limited edition color by butter LONDON Lillibet's Jubilee, released to mark the 60 year Anniversary of the Queen's reign.

butter LONDON's description of Lillibet's Jubilee is "This exclusive commemorative colour honours the international celebration marking the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne. Lillibet’s Jubilee winks at the Queen’s childhood nickname and adds the perfect amount of sparkle that is fit for a queen.

This lacquer is a silvery, lavender metallic foil heavily infused with holographic glitter."

I agree with the "silvery, lavender metallic foil" part of the description, but not with the the "heavily infused with holographic glitter".  butter LONDON Lillibet's Jubilee is a silver metallic foil with a hint of lavender, that is pretty opaque and gives very good coverage with just one coat.  I didn't really see any of this supposed holographic glitter, though.  I used two coats here.

NARS Trouville Nail Polish - Summer 2012

Happy Pink Wednesday!

I'm finally feeling better after being super sick since Saturday.  I don't think I've ever been as sick as I was...with bouts of sweating/freezing, sore throat, headaches, body aches, etc, etc, etc.  I would feel ok for a little while and then BAM...I'd deteriorate instantly.  With three kids, it was not easy.  Though, they were very sweet, my almost four-year old daughter would ask all day long if I felt better...awwww.

Since I am feeling almost back to normal, I've got a nice cheery pink for you for Pink Wednesday.  NARS Trouville is a new color for the NARS Summer 2012 Collection.  Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a HUGE (and I mean HUGE) fan of NARS Cosmetics, especially the nail colors.  The makeup is exceptional...the colors are always so true and vibrant.

NARS Trouville is a warm retro bubblegum pink creme with slight peachy undertones.  For some reason, it reminds of clothing, accessories, etc. from the 1960's...hence, the retro description.  Trouville is a nice sweet summer color.  I used three coats here to even things out.

Today I have an oldie, but a goodie for you.  Estée Lauder Blue Dahlia is from Fall 2010.  I felt like a nice dark vampy color, so I picked Blue Dahlia.  Estée Lauder Blue Dahlia is a rich dark navy creme.  It is just dark enough, but not enough to look black.  Blue Dahlia has a beautiful luxurious look to it.  I used two coats here.

Essie Instant Hot is also a part of the Essie 2012 Love and Acceptance Wedding Collection.  Instant Hot is a creamy off white with a hint of pink and a subtle silver shimmer.  It is not a stark white white, but softened with the pinkish hue.  The shimmer is also very obvious in the bottle, but not as apparent on the nail.  It seems to almost disappear the longer you wear the color.  Since, it is a pastel color, it went on streaky and evened out with each coat.  Here is three coats.

My pick for Pink Wednesday is Essie Like To Be Bad from the Essie 2012 "Love and Acceptance" Wedding Collection.  The collection is of four light "wedding-esque" colors for the bride and beyond.

Dior Saint-Tropez can actually released last year as a VERY, VERY, VERY limited edition color created for the Dior Boutique opening in St. Tropez.  It sold out even before you could blink.  Thankfully, Saint-Tropez has been re-released for Summer 2012 and is readily available now, but is limited edition.  So, if you want it, grab it soon.  Saint-Tropez is a gorgeous aqua creme to match the breathtaking waters of the Mediterranean.  Here is two beautiful coats of Saint-Tropez.

Dior Bikini Nail Polish

Here is Dior Bikini from the Summer 2012 Collection.  Bikini is a beautiful muted cantaloupe/melon colored coral.  It's slightly duskier and lighter than most other corals out right now.  Bikini is a great take or a coral for someone that may not necessarily want the vibrant, bright, electric or neons of the season.  I loved, loved applying this one...the Dior brush is almost on automatic.  It is designed so beautifully that the polish applies itself.  Here is two coats of Bikini.  If you like Dior Bikini, it is limited-edition, so get your hands or it ASAP.

Revlon ColorStay Buttercup Nail Polish

Happy Easter to all those that celebrate!

I've got Revlon ColorStay Buttercup today.  Buttercup is a light pastel buttery yellow creme.  As expected with light/pastel type of colors, it is a bit streaky and required three coats for even coverage.  I didn't have an issue trying to even out the color with each coat.  I really liked wearing the pale yellow and even got a ton of compliments on it.  Everyone wanted to know what color it was and who made it...etc, etc, etc.  My REAL issue with this color is getting it off.  It got very chalk-y with the nail polish remover and was everywhere.  It took a couple of clean cotton balls to get the last bit of color residue off.  Other than that...it's a nice sweet yellow.
I have to warn you about the sad state of the index finger cuticle..Sorry about that...I have no idea why that one is parched...lol.

Happy Friday!  And a very happy birthday to my sister-in-law...Teener, as I like to call her.  Today's colors were inspired by the birthday girl herself.  She's been on a coral/orange nail polish kick and this nail enamel set definitely fits the bill and will make her day!

Sephora + Pantone Universe Color of the Year Nail Enamel Set includes four variations on the color Tangerine.  There is a shimmer, a creme, a matte and a glitter.  Tangerine is a great color for Spring/Summer 2012!  I think it looks great on every skin tone.  More importantly, if you are interested in the colors, grab them NOW...this set is limited edition.

Tangerine Tango Glitter is a sparkly burnt orange glitter in a clear base.  It is most likely meant to be worn over one of the other colors in the set.  I used it by itself and the first coat gave a very sparse covering of glitter.  Here is two coats.
