L'Oreal 'Silver Sparkle' Nail Polish

So, I'm back from Georgia!  It was a very interesting trip...to say the least.  Anyway, while in Savannah, I switched out my nail polish color and applied L'Oreal Silver Sparkle.  I wore Silver Sparkle out to dinner for the last night we were in Georgia.

L'Oreal Silver Sparkle is a very sheer pearly pale champagne colored base with smaller silver glitter and medium iridescent glitter that picks up all the colors of the rainbow, as light hits it.  I wasn't too keen on it when I applied the first coat, but as I built up the layers, it really grew on me.  I used three coats here and it has been nice wearing it.  Also, the glitter is of substantial size, but the polish has a very smooth feel, even with three coats.

For Memorial Day weekend, we are going to spend it in Savannah, Georgia.  So, for the unofficial kick-off to summer, I've got Essie Peach Daiquiri today.  Peach Daiquiri is a perfect pinky coral summer creme...and what other color would I wear to Georgia...but, PEACH Daiquiri!  I used two coats here.

Revlon 'Moss' Nail Color

Quick post today...Revlon Moss.  Moss is a light khaki green creme with slight grey undertones.  Really pretty for all year around.  It looks sort of yucky in the bottle, but beautiful on the nail  I used two coats here.

Sonia Kashuk 'A Powerful Punch' mini nail colour set

My pick for Pink Wednesday is a part of 'A Powerful Punch' nail polish set from Sonia Kashuk.  It's a really cute set that has four beautiful summer colors that will work for everybody.  The four colors are Khaki Shorts, Making Waves, Ooh La La and Tutti Frutti.

Sonia Kashuk Making Waves is a beautiful bright medium turquoise creme.  Making Waves also gave excellent coverage with two coats.  Excellent color, but there was some staining upon removal.

Sephora by OPI Perfect Pairs - Precious Metal-lics

The Sephora by OPI Perfect Pairs 'Precious Metal-lics' Set is made of two mini metallic colors.  The two colors are Charge It and Queen of Everything.  I thought this was a perfect set for me...My husband always says that my two favorite words are "Charge It" and since, I am the "Queen of Everything"...it's a very fitting pair of colors.  Haha!

Starting with Sephora by OPI Charge It...this is a shiny gold metallic color.  Charge It went on a little thin at first and I used three coats here.

Sephora by OPI Queen of Everything is a platinum colored metallic.  It's warmer than a typical silver metallic and that's what I really like about this one.  Queen of Everything was definitely more opaque with one coat.  I used two coats here.

Color Club Disco Tap Nail Color

So, I recently subscribed to Birchbox and got my first one about a week and a half ago.  It included all sorts of fun stuff, including a mini bottle of Color Club Disco Tap nail polish.  This is actually the color on my fingers today.  I actually wore this over the weekend, out to dinner with some friends, with a very girly nautical themed navy and cream striped dress.

Color Club Disco Tap is a pale metallic gold with a foil finish.  The color went on beautifully and was practically opaque in one coat.  I did end up using two coats here.

Revlon Sheer Seafoam is a part of the new Revlon Escapism Summer 2012 Collection by Gucci Westman.  The entire collection is made up of really gorgeous bright colors for the face, including pretty blush colors, vibrant eyeshadow colors, a really nice orange-coral colored lip gloss and a beautiful Coral Reef imprinted bronzer.  The Escapism Collection also includes three nail colors, Revlon Red Bikini, Revlon Gold Coast and Revlon Sheer Seafoam.  I only picked up Sheer Seafoam...it just looked super pretty in the bottle.

Revlon Sheer Seafoam is a VERY sheer light aqua color.  You can barely notice the color with the first coat.  I ended up applying a total of four coats.  At first, I wasn't a big fan of this sheer color look, but stuck it out.  I wore it for a couple of days and ended up really loving the look.

Happy Saturday!  I'm so happy that it's the weekend and that yesterday is OVER!  It was such a trying and draining day!  Thankfully, it's a beautiful morning in New York for a fresh start to the day.

Today we're looking at one of the summer colors from the Indian Summer Collection from Sephora by OPI.  Sephora by OPI Seriously, It's a Naan Issue is a deep rich purple creme.  I used three thin coats here.  It's not a typical summer color, since it is a bit darker...but, hey there's always room for any color in any season!

OPI Number One Nemesis is another color from the new OPI Spiderman Collection.  OPI Number One Nemesis is a murky gray full of multi-colored shimmer.  It's really beautiful in person.  It does go on slightly sheer with the first coat and I ended up using three coat in total.

OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls Nail Polish

Today's color is one from the new OPI Spiderman Collection.  OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls is a very very very light grey, almost white creme.  It could easily pass of a white...except there is the slightest bit of grey to it.  Since, it is a very light colored creme, it was streaky with the first coat and the second evened it out a bit, but a third coat will make it look perfect.  Here is three coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Essie Funky Limelight Nail Polish

It's the summer of neon nail polish colors...or, so it seems.  Well, Essie did really gorgeous neons for Summer 2009 and I have one of my favorites from that collection.  Essie Funky Limelight is a bright highlighter yellow.  It literally looks like you took a highlighter and painted your nails.  Funky Limelight is a little tough to work with.  It was very patchy and took four coats to even out.  Here is four coats of Essie Funky Limelight below.  Enjoy!

Sally Hansen Olive Branch Nail Polish

About two weeks ago, I had posted about Sally Hansen Loves Me Not, a new Sally Hansen Complete Manicure nail polish color from the Spring 2012 collection.  Here is the second color that I had picked up at Harmon Beauty.  Today, I've got Sally Hansen Olive Branch for you.  Olive Branch is a shimmery dark olive green, that is almost a metallic.  I had a little bit of an issue with this particular color.  After two coats, there were still some patchy areas, so I used three coats to even everything out.

Thakoon for NARS Amchoor Nail Polish

Hi, everyone.  It's been kind of yucky in New York for the past few days. Rainy, grey and cold at times and then sticky and muggy at times...very weird. So, to perk up a dull Thursday, I've got a nice "bright yellow" today.  NARS Amchoor has been aptly named after a very tangy indian spice, made from dry unripe mangos.  Amchoor definitely brightens the flavor of any dish that it is added to and now NARS Amchoor is here to brighten the day.

NARS Amchoor is a warm vibrant sunflower yellow.  A little deeper in color than most other yellow polishes out there.  The true color is a little more warm and darker than what is here, in the picture.  Since, it is a yellow, it was streaky with the first coat, but after three it was beautiful.  Usually, only my girlfriends oooh and aaaahhh over nail polish colors, Amchoor was so pretty that I even a couple of compliments from guys!  Here is three coats of NARS Amchoor.

Summertime de Chanel - Summer 2012 - Island, Delight and Holiday Nail Polishes

To help brighten another Monday morning, I have the newest colors from the Summer 2012 "Summertime de Chanel" nail polish colors.  The collection is made of three beautiful colors...Island, Delight and Holiday.

Chanel Island is a beautiful sheer pearlescent pinkish beige that mimics a creamrose pearl, exactly.  Since, Island is a sheer color, I used three coats here.

Chanel Delight is a bronze colored gold metallic, made up of all different shades of golden micro-glittter, to create a beautiful foil finish.  Delight was practically opaque in one coat, I used two here.

Gap 'Mint' Nail Polish

Every so often, Gap has these large glass containers filled with nail polish.  I was there about a month ago and there was a bunch of new cremes, shimmers and even glitters, all mixed up together.  I fished out this particular color, while all my things were getting checked out.  Appropriately named, Gap Mint is pale minty green creme, that's not too bright or over the top.  I've been sporting this one, as my pedicure for the last few weeks and love it.

Essie 'Poppy Razzi Collection - Bazooka' Nail Polish

Here is the last color from the Essie Poppy Razzi Collection.  Essie Bazooka is a nice orange-red creme.  Bazooka is also a nice bright color, but not necessarily a neon.  Bazooka also gave excellent coverage with two coats and had the same satin/matte finish, once dry, as with the rest of the colors from this collection.  I used a topcoat to give it some glossiness.
